Summary of the weekly AMA with Dan
Q: Hi Dan, how is bcf business going? With the launch of the bridge, does this also brings a new audience as client? Is there enough work for bcf and cashflow?
A: Things are good around here, the bridge is def going to bring a new audience and set of capabilities to what we can deliver. We have been discussing some pretty robust marketing plans from the BCF side in addition to what Foundation and community are planning as well so we envision that as both helping drive awareness in the capabilities and also helping drive new customers our way to leverage those / help get their project going.
Q: Hey Dan! I’m working on a syscoin DID method spec and driver for the universal resolver. I’ve been modelling it after the bitcoin DID method, but that gives you a very boring DID that does not offer much advantage over what exists now. So - I am planning on accessing syscoin ASSETS in the DID method spec, which will allow for some additional features, such as the ability to create sets of delegated users with sys-DID authentication permissions (via the transfer of assets), and the ability to edit or update a DID more quickly. Do you see any problems with this approach?
A: That sounds freaking awesome man. On the face of it I don't see anything wrong with that approach, do you have any code or anything we can look at?
Q: How's the sign off by Archos on the firmware going, still on track for end of July (ish)?
A: Brad is in the process of final testing on that before we can hand off to Archos. Jag did a code review and found some issues that needed remediation before we give anything to Archos. Should be in their hands by next week if Brad doesn't find any more breaking bugs. They claim the Touch will be ready in the next 2mo too, which would be cool!
